Well, I just woke up from a very nice sleep. I would still be sleeping, but I do have class to get to today unfortunately.

I have to say I’m very pleased with how The Duelist turned out. So pleased in fact, that I’m going to be putting it on my website in lieu of Gilgamesh, MWF for the next eight weeks! Wow that saves me a lot of work, and right in time for exams.

This year’s 24 hour comic day was a tremendous experience. Looking forward to the next.

I’m just about at the 24 hour mark, and I am about 75 % done with coloring.

This should go pretty smoothley from here, although I am starting to experience symptoms of lack of sleep induced madness. Wibble.

I went on a food run for some sustenance, mainly involving rolling on over to Pizza the Hut to get mahself a Pazone! mmmm I’ve been pazoned. Then I headed over to the grocery store, picked up a couple bottles of juice, now I’m set for some comic goodness! Got two more strips done, yay, 12.5% complete! w00t!

#3: sammich time.

so, first one down, 23 to go. Or until I give up, whichever comes first. Had to draw some stuff fresh for the first time, which always sucks up a lot of time, including a thrown for kip, him sitting in said thrown, minions for kip, and the new flag of the brick! Wheeeeeeeeeee.

We’ve reached the last couple of hours of this special day… well except Marko who’s still got a world of work ahead of him, hehe… It’s been fun, though I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to get back to a normal sleeping pattern again!

Here’s a little preview of the character John Lawrence that I worked out for the blog. This is just a concept as I haven’t actually done any official coloring yet.

I am working in phases, writing is done, about 80% done with the pencils now, and 30-40% done with inks, then coloring/shading (the longest part), editing and lettering. I estimate I will be done sometime Sunday afternoon if I work nonstop, it shouldn’t take more than 36 hours. I won’t upload any pages until it is completely finished.

My heart goes out to you, buddy. The terrible necessity of work can get in the way of 24 hour comics. But that’s a great idea for a compromise to do a 12 hour one. We’ll hold down the fort until you’re off work.

My comic is progressing steadily, I’m currently adapting the transcript of the court martial to the 24 page format. I’ve also gotten several concepts sketched and inked. I think I’m going to plug in Amadeus or Blackadder the Third to get some inspiration for the period, particularly wardrobe-wise. Still debating about if and to what extent I should color it, but I guess that can wait until all the inkwork is done. Pics to come soon!

Welp… home from work… time to get to work, opening up photoshop, pumping up winamp, aaand away we go!

It’s getting closer to the the moment of satisfaction, when I can finally go to sleep. Yes! It’s been a fun day. But very much work had to go into this.

Well… my 24 hour comic day is going to be off to a nonexistent start thanks to lovely work. Couldn’t get out of it I’m afraid. Though I thought of a good compromise. I am gonna do the dual 12 hour comic day instead. When I get off,  I will try and get 12 comics pushed out before I collapse, then tomorrow at whatever time I drag myself out of bed, I’ll finish off the last 12. I know it’s crazy and silly, but what choice do I have?

While you guys are out enjoying you drawing to the death stuff, think of me, stuck in a stupid pharmacy, dealing with grumpy old people for the next 8 hours. :/
